They are very popular for printed circuit board production, Jewellery, Watch making and Model Making etc. The Drill bits are also used for small through holes, blind via hole drilling or via inter connectors, they allow improved inner hole wall quality, whilst maintaining good registration accuracy. The micro drill bits can be fitted with depth setting rings by special request. This will allow you to set the plunge depth stop on your PCB drill press to a single value that will work for all PCB Drill bit diameters.
These carbide micro drill bits will give far superior results when drilling holes in PCB laminate material such as FR4 Fibreglass, and will have a much longer life span than the equivalent steel drill bits.
The twist micro Tungsten Carbide micro drill bits have a 1/8” (3.175mm) shank. These Micro carbide drill bits are compatible with all Fortex Drilling Routing Machines as well as CNC Centre machines when used with a collar.
