The FPM25000 (25400 x 16256 dpi) Photo plotter has being developed to facilitate the in house production of high end Film layouts at a very attractive price level. The FPM25000 is a very accurate Photo plotting machine for the production of dense art works (Photo tools) with perfect blackness resulting in perfect Opacity with precise edge definition in Photo Quality. The machine is used in many high end demanding Photo Lithiography applications such as generating artworks for Microfluidics devices and applications, PCB Design and various metal etching applications.
This Photo Plotting machine sets a bench mark in terms of price, reliability, throughput and fine line capabilites. The raster based drum design allows stress free processing of the Photoplotter Film on the machine giving the highest geometric accuracy. The design of this range of Photoplotters straight forward and robust allowing the machine to be maintenance free.
The Photo plotting machine exposes the image required on a piece of light sensitive film with a laser. The light sensitive film is fixed to the outer surface of a rotating drum by tape and the laser moves step by step along the rotating drum thus creating the photo tool. A supplied external universal power unit is used to supply required power (110-240V / 36V).
A comprehensive software package is supplied as standard for configuration and operation of the Photoplotter allowing all required settings for the Photoplotter to be configured from the software. The system requirements are a computer running Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 10. The Photoplotter machine can be run as a standalone device if required, no separate PC is required as data can be transferred to the Plotter wither via a USB memory stick or via a USB cable. Please note depending on the plot size plotting can take over one hour.
The FPM25000 software package allows the import of files, setting of output resolution and type of image (reverse, mirror, etc.) to be laser drawn on to the light sensitive film. When working with Gerber files, it is possible to check and modify used apertures (D-codes) and make film panelisations ( for Gerber data and corresponding drill data). Viewing of Gerber files and conversion of various types of aperture files is possible in the supplied software package.
Various types of films may be used for this photo-plotter, but all of them must be sensitive to light wave length of 670 nm (red light). This Photoplotter can generate Photo plots larger than A4 size. Suitable Photoplotter films and film developers can be supplied please see our laser photoplotter accessories page.
Full darkroom conditions are needed to load, process and develop the film. A portable darkroom and a range of green safe light fluorescent lamps are available if required.
